Hybrid Coordinator Position – Baruch’s CTL

baruchctlBaruch College’s Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) invites applications for one half-time position, available immediately.

The CTL Hybrid Coordinator will support Baruch faculty on various aspects of hybrid/online course development, including assignment design, open educational resources, and the selection and deployment of appropriate online teaching tools. The Hybrid Coordinator will also work with the staff of the CTL to integrate tools like Blogs@Baruch, Vocat, and WebEx into hybrid instruction. This is a terrific opportunity to join a team of educators who are thinking through the implications of digital pedagogy and distance learning at a large, urban, public university.

Ideal candidates will have college-level teaching experience, an interest in curriculum development, a familiarity with emerging trends in educational technology and online learning. They should also possess excellent research, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to work with a variety of media and technology platforms. Experience with WordPress, educational learning applications, and faculty development is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits: This is an IT Assistant position that will pay at least $22.54 an hour for up to 20 hrs/week through 6/30/2016, and employees will be eligible for health insurance 90 days after their start date. These positions are renewable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and current or recent enrollment in a graduate program
  • Previous teaching experience (preferably online/hybrid teaching experience)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible schedule
