The Gill Library at The College of New Rochelle is seeking 4 Adjunct Reference Librarians, each to work part time at one of the following branch campus locations:
- 29 Castle Place, New Rochelle, NY 10805 (limited hours)
- John Cardinal O’Connor Campus,332 East 149th Street,Bronx, NY 10451
- Rosa Parks Campus,144 West 125th Street,New York, NY 10027
- Brooklyn Campus, 1368 Fulton Street,Brooklyn, NY 11216
Responsibilities include:
- Reference Services (in person including assistance with all print and electronic resources and services as well as virtual reference using AskUs 24/7)
- Library Instruction sessions and Workshops as needed
- Overall supervision of Library operations including
- supervision of staff and student assistants in the absence of full
- time librarian
- Collaborate with full time Librarian and on innovative
- ways to promote library resources and services
Requirements: An ALA-accredited Masters in Library Science. Two years of academic library and teaching experience (preferably using learning response systems) needed. Experience with virtual reference preferably OCLC QuestionPoint. The position may include evening, weekend, and holiday hours and is available immediately.
