Information Services Librarian – Specialist in Natural/Behavioral Sciences – Brooklyn College

BROOKLYN COLLEGE OF THE CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK – 

The Library is accepting applications for an Information Services Librarian – Specialist in Natural/Behavioral Sciences at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level. Reporting to the Head of Information Services, the Information Services Librarian works as one of a team of ten librarians to develop and deliver instructional programs, often incorporating new technologies.  The successful candidate will be the faculty liaison to the School of Natural & Behavioral Sciences; maintain awareness of curricular needs, teaching approaches, and research interests of these faculty, and make recommendations to support related activities.

Job Requirements

Experience
ALA accredited Master’s degree in Library & Information Science; professional experience in an academic, research, medical, or large public library; excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communications skill; undergraduate and/or graduate degree in natural or behavioral sciences and experience with information resources in the natural or behavioral sciences is required. A second graduate degree required for appointment above the rank of Instructor. All appointments are subject to Financial Availability.
