Law Library Internships – NY County Courts Public Access Law Library

The New York County Courts Public Access Law Library is a part of the New York Supreme Court and is located in Manhattan’s downtown court district at 80 Centre Street.  It serves over 5000 on-site library users a year who include self-represented litigants, attorneys, and court staff.

Interns will learn on-line and print research techniques, utilize court/government databases and websites, and gain exposure to court and government operations.  Moreover, interns will be given passwords and training for Lexis and Westlaw for the course of their internship as well as having access to Loislaw and other databases that may prove useful in future library positions and career endeavors.

Former interns have gone on to work in the federal court system, CUNY library system, and the New York State Unified Court System.

Current internships available: 2 (unpaid)
