Spring 2013 Taxonomy Internship Opportunity at Scholastic Inc.

Position Description:

Scholastic Inc., a large children’s publishing and media company, is currently seeking a Taxonomy Intern to join the eScholastic taxonomy team in support of projects that include site rebuilds, content migration, and tagging. This position is located in Scholastic’s New York City offices. Intern must work onsite during the standard work week.

As an intern with the eScholastic taxonomy team, the library school student will be exposed to the day-to-day responsibilities of a corporate knowledge management team responsible for web content description, search, and retrieval, and digital asset management.  The intern will learn the basics of taxonomy development, maintenance, and implementation.

Requirements: Library School Student must be enrolled in an internship course for school credit and must provide proof of registration in internship class. This position is unpaid.
