This is a great opportunity for flexible, creative library school students to gain practical experience in a dynamic academic library.
The AU Library Internship program provides current library school students with hands-on experience in the reference and instruction areas of academic librarianship. Interns will work collaboratively with mentoring librarians at the Reference desk to provide users with research assistance and support librarians during instruction sessions in the classroom.
Other projects such as assisting with the writing of instructional content and the creation of Subject Research Guides (LibGuides), handouts or tutorials, may also be available as time permits
QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Enrollment in a Master’s program in library or information services.
Preferred: Completion of courses or experience in reference and bibliographic sources, electronic resources, database searching, website development. Strong computer skills highly desirable.
