Hybrid Coordinator Positions – Baruch College

ctlHybrid Coordinator Positions Available at Baruch College’s Center for Teaching and Learning

Baruch College’s Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) invites applications for two half-time positions, available immediately. CTL Hybrid Coordinators will support Baruch faculty on various aspects of hybrid/online course development, including assignment design, multi-media production and post-production, and the selection and deployment of appropriate online teaching tools. Hybrid Coordinators will also work with the staff of the CTL to integrate home-grown tools like Blogs@Baruch and Vocat into hybrid instruction. This is a terrific opportunity to join a team of educators who are thinking through the implications of digital pedagogy and distance learning at a large, urban, public university.

Ideal candidates will have an interest in curriculum development, a familiarity with emerging trends in educational technology and online learning, and the ability to work with a variety of media across technological platforms. Experience with FinalCut Pro, Camtasia, or comparable screencasting software is strongly preferred. Previous experience doing technical writing is a plus.

Potential applicants can learn more about the Center for Teaching and Learning at http://ctl.baruch.cuny.edu.

Compensation and Benefits: These are IT Assistant positions that will pay at least $22.54 an hour for up to 20 hrs/week through 6/30/2015, and employees will be eligible for health insurance 90 days after their start date. These positions are renewable.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and current or recent enrollment in a graduate program; ability to work independently; flexible schedule; previous teaching experience. Former CUNY Writing and Instructional Technology Fellows are especially encouraged to apply.

If interested, please send a CV, a cover letter, and the names of three references via email to Luke Waltzer, Director, Center for Teaching and Learning, Baruch College at ctl@baruch.cuny.edu. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
