Reporting to the Assistant Director of General Education, the Instructional Design Assistant/College Assistant will support program staff and faculty in the development, revision, and maintenance of General Education online courses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with the building of new courses in the Blackboard learning environment using content provided by the academic program
• Assist with the updating of existing courses in Blackboard using new and revised content provided by the academic program
• Provide maintenance support for existing courses on an as-needed basis
• Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• High school diploma/GED
Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with the LMS Blackboard and MS Office
• Knowledge of and experience using emerging technologies and open source educational materials
• High level of comfort with technology
• Accurate and attentive to detail; outstanding organizational skills
Salary Range: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour, commensurate with education and experience
